What to do when a rebuilt salvage car is involved in a car accident and is totaled?

I had a chevy cavalier rebuilt salvage car. I got involved in a car accident and the car was totaled. The insurance company gave me a check and left me the car. The car has been sitting crashed for like 4 months now. I want to fix it but do I need to do any paperwork? I live in the state of Texas. Can I just fix it and drive it like that?

    Car already has salvage title but now the insurance has salvage title but now the books as total yet again would talk to somebody at your state dmv.

    Yes, you can fix it and drive it. Since it already had a salvage title, it can’t have a ‘double’ salvage title. =]
